VICTORY FOR ALL | RED RIVER RIVALRY KICKOFF
Texas and OU fans, kick-off the legendary Red River Rivalry weekend alongside your fellow Longhorns and Sooners at a glamorous Tailgate held at W Dallas-Victory.
It’s “Game-On” at W Dallas-Victory Hotel with an upscale spin on tailgating the night before the annual Red River Rivalry football game, held between the University of Texas and University of Oklahoma. Friday, October 12, Victory Park will be the hot pre-game pep rally spot, with barbeque from W chefs, crimson and orange cocktails and live music from country singer, (and former OU player) TJ Hamilton.
Rain or shine, there is no stopping this tailgate. While there won’t be actual vehicles, the Living Room Bar and outdoor patio will be transformed into a fan paradise. Team flags will fly, staff will sport team colors and the usual furniture will be replaced with crimson and orange soft seats from alternative furniture company, Fatboy® USA.
Dinner will be served from 5 to 9 p.m., for just $20. Guests will enjoy a classic barbeque dinner consisting of brisket, potato salad, fried okra and rolls as well as a choice of beer or a cocktail that screams team pride. (Choose from a Crimson Crusher or Orange Onslaught.)
Live music will be from 8 p.m. to 12 a.m. with country artist TJ Hamilton taking the stage. A former wide receiver for OU during the 2008-2009 seasons, Hamilton was one of only two percent of walk-ons that ever got to see playing time at OU. He released his debut single, “If I’m Loving You” on July 17, 2012.
Reservations to the event are not required. Additional food and beverages will be available for additional cost.
